BullDog Clear Body for MBX6T
Straight from the design studios at Pro-Line into the hands of Ryan Cavalieri, Richard Saxton, Billy Easton and Chris Jarosz at the 2009 Nitrocross World Championships, the BullDog body was an immediate success. “My truck just works better-more steering, more predictable and faster lap times. The narrow design allowed me to see what my truck was doing which made tuning even easier at Nitrocross,” says Ryan Cavalieri. We couldn’t agree more. In fact, the body worked so well that Ryan went on to put the fastest lap time down in the final, the fastest average lap thus giving him the 2009 Nitrocross World Championship title in truck.
It’s rare that a product comes along right out of the gate and can have such an impact on performance, especially a body design.
Congratulations Ryan and Team Pro-Line for taking top honors at the 2009 Nitrocross World Championships.

I agree with Racer Rob that body is fugly

I think there are huge number of racers who don't care if it's ugly or even think it's ugly. I bet most racers think it's aggressive looking and that's enough for them. It's no secret that in RC racing, performance is far more important to most than looks. I prefer the looks of short course trucks and the racing action of that class over truggies and racing monster trucks. My point: if you don't like this body, the truggy class might not be for you because I bet you'll see a lot more bodies like this.

I can't help but laugh when I read about how a wing or body does this or that... I can understand in "on-road', but "off-road"? the freakin' wheels generate so much dirty air...
I sure as hell would like to see the wind tunnel test data.... Oh right, its a sales tactic....

There is no wind tunnel test data, only the input of the factory drivers and the weight of their results. If anything, the "cab way forward" design of this body, as inspired by the latest Losi truggy, suggests that the concept MUST work--why else would Pro-Line offer it? Surely not because they expect it to sell on style points.
I'd like to see new rules for truggy class that require a less severe-looking, if not realistic-looking, body. Surprised ROAR hasn't already spoken up, they're usually the first to jump in when things get too weird looking.
ROAR actually has spoken up. I don't remember the exact details, but I know they had an action item or something like that at their last meeting to get some sort of discussion going between the major manufacturers to come up with a standard to keep some sense of realism.
Found it:
ROAR requests all body makers to contact the ROAR President at
president@roarracing.com to establish a working group of MFG’s to establish a standard in
‘truggy’ bodies to avoid this class from becoming unrecognizable, much like what was
done years ago with the off road electric truck body development.

Actually it's nothng new
In 1965 there was a Dodge concept like it which later became a famous hotwheel http://www.mopar-owners-club.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=76&Itemid=43
Doesn't mean as an r/c it's pretty though.

I will call BS on the body making a big difference, but go drive a 1/8 buggy without a wing and tell me it doesn't matter. :)

Feedback from drivers? Are you serious? These guys aren't engineers, how many R/C pro drivers have some sort of Engineering degree? I'm sure less than 1% if even that....
I'll agree, it probably allows better cooling of the motor, but nothing more...
Handles better because of that design? Please explain....

I Think the body and wing matter a little. It will help some, but not as much as people think it will. I have driven my RC's with and without wing/body and don't notice any difference. I always hear about the guy who got 5 mph more out of his car/truck just by changing the body. Haven't been able to do that myself. As for the factory drivers, aren't they paid by Pro-Line?
I've never did like the Swiss cheese look of the 8th buggy bodies. I think this body looks better, but still not my cup of tea.

i know for a fact on the losi buggy if you ran the body too tight.. (aka had no side to side play or front to back the buggy handled like crap.compared to a loose body..
the only thing i can see this body doing is providing much more front down force. for more agressive on and off power steering.
