I'm looking around online (ebay) for a MMM ESC, and some list whether what they are selling is a V3 or not. The problem I have is the one's who don't list if it is a V3. Is there a way to tell by looking at a picture what version it is? Like maybe they changed the stickers, or a different switch or whatever??

Also a while back CC was selling refurbished MMM, presumably repaired V1 and V2. How can I tell if what someone is selling on ebay is a refurbished one or not from looking at a picture?

And finally, the MMM ESC from an ERBE or Savage Flux, what versions are they? I really hope they aren't V1 or V2.

Thanks for your help.

V2 has Bullit connectors for the batteries
V3 has Soldered wires for the Batteries and an On/Off switch
the "Refurbished is an Upgraded V2 with Soldered wires and NO On/Off switch

(I,ve got the V3 and Refurbished myself, both are Ok)

Thanks for replying. So, I can assume that if there is an on/off switch it is a V3? I'm looking at the ERevo brushless oem traxxas one, and it's got traxxas connectors for the battery, and an on off switch.
Please don't tell me it is a V1 or V2. The listing says it's brand new from an erbe.

Please reply asap, the auction finishes soon.

Thanks for that.
One more question, do the V3 have the battery wires soldered on?
Like the following pic, it's got bullet connectors for the battery, it's all so confusing :)

Is this a V3?
Thanks again.

Your ESC at the last pic. looks like a V2 to me,
because the Battery wires come seperate with the ESC,
(I see bullet,s on the left side of the ESC, so NOT Factory soldered onto the ESC, like the one from the 1st pic !!)

I know it,s a bit confusing because there,s also Switch, but in short:

an ESC with bullets on the left (Batt) -side is definitively a V2

LOL, you got that right :)

That link is the info I was after. I just bought one and from the photo it looks like a V3. It's got that lip in the case, and the battery wires are factory soldered onto the ESC, and it's got a switch, not to mention the guy who I bought it from said it's a replacement one that CC sent, and has all the paperwork for it, also of which he says it should still have some warranty on it. Based on all that, I feel pretty confident it is a V3 I bought.

Yeah, looks like V3 to me also,
so connect it and let us know the results...if you have a car and motor already of course :)

Yay, I guess I made a good decision. Not bad for $105 shipped I think.
All I need now is the castle link. I'm going to be running it, for now, on a hobbywing ezrun 2350kv motor in my emaxx.
It was either I bought another hobbywing esc when the new xerun 80/150 amp esc's come out in early december, or buy one that can be fixed should it break down and will no doubt be better overall anyway.

I'll let you know the results later when I get it.

BTW, do you know anywhere where I can get a castle link cheap? I don't mind used as long as it goes fine.

Nope, sorry.
I got mine together with the Combo I bought last year.
