Receiver antenna repair

Hi guys. Quick question. I have an indoor heli and on my recent crash, I nicked the Rx wire and unfortunately was cut in 2 pcs. Is it ok to repair an Rx wire antenna just by joining the 2 cut halves together by soldeing? Will the reception and signal strength be the same when it was still whole?

i thought i read something a while ago about an antenas length being tuned to the frequency, so it might be affected.

i would say solder it, then take it out for a test spin and see if the range is reduced

tadium. I soldered it from the point where it was cut. So, definitely no shortage of length. The most is maybe 2mm where I stripped and soldered the two ajoining pieces.

In any case, I will try it and check if there is any effect.
