I'm looking for the smallest ESC available with forward, reverse, and a BEC. Any suggestions?

Thanks, this helps. I want to use my DX3S on my micro crawler for rear-steer.

Tekin FX/R. Tiny, can handle 3s (with external BEC), and about as smooth as anything I've ever used - excellent low-speed control, as well as the versatility to be used in tons of other applications. I'm running one in my crawler, and another in my rally car.

Oh, forgot to mention - LiPo cutoff. If you're not running LiPo right now, you will be. May as well get something that'll handle it.

Cutoff is important, in my case I use a DX3S transmitter which beeps at me when the battery gets low so I can get away without one. I looked into the Castle Creations Sidewinder Micro and I'm impressed, its smaller than my receiver, it'll do brushed or brushless, 3S, the list goes on.
However, I think I'm going to go with one of the Associated Runners since its waterproof, and add traxxas servos. I have a waterproof 10th scale crawler, creek bashing is fun.
Thanks for the input!

Having the ability to get a waterproof ESC over non-waterproof for the same price also helped my decision to buy an Associated ESC as well! Just keep in mind, I am pretty sure most lipos's do not like water... so I keep a Nimh pack around for the wet days.

I use a Dynamite 2000mah LiPo designed for a mini-t with my 10th scale crawler (the manual didn't say anything about water) and it doesn't mind water at all, but when I went to the tidepools and dunked it in saltwater it discharged faster than normal (because of the electrolytes built up between the contacts I think) so I washed it and its still in service.
Don't rely on my advice though, I tried it on one of my expendable packs.
