I'm considering the jump to LiPo batteries... any suggestions???

I've got a Traxxas Slash 4x4 and a 3906 (old style, not waterproof) Emaxx. They're both just bashers since I'm not the least bit interested in racing. I'm mainly interested in the LiPo batts for the increased runtime. I know I'm going to have to invest in at least 3 packs (2 for the Emaxx, one for Slash), a charger, and a Low-Voltage Cutoff for the Emaxx. I really don't want to completely break the bank though... So, I come to you guys for advice.

Looking for suggestions for:

1.) Links for information on LiPo batts. (I know nothing about them, so I'd like to read up on them before making the plunge into unfamiliar waters...)

2.) Decent, entry-level batteries that will work well in my Slash and Emaxx.

3.) A decent, entry-level charger that will do everything that will be required to properly charge LiPo batts.

4.) A Low Voltage Cut-Off system that will work with my Emaxx's ESC (its got the old "Made by Novak Serviced by Traxxas" ESC).

5.) Best place(s) to buy these items.

This is my first foray back into the world of RC since the mid-90's... and I'm already having much more fun now than I did back then, mainly thanks to the near bulletproof-ness of the Slash and Emaxx (which I picked up used a few days after buying the Slash).

Thanks in advance!
