I got this thing with a large vintage lot I purchased. I'm 33 and have been into the hobby since the 80's, so I remember a lot of different RC related brands and items from throughout the years, but I can't figure this one out.

It's a Jem JC-105. Made in Canada according to the tag. It's brand new and even came with the instructions, but they state zero info on how hot of a motor it can run, just wiring schematics for either 4-5 or 6-10 cell operation.

I'm stumped.

That is the Novak Tempest, I had a couple of those. It it can handle unlimited brushed motors. Really good esc.

So the Jem esc is just a rebadged Novak? Interesting.

Well, I know what the Novak is. It's a T-4. Tons of info on the 'net about it and that one is NIP with the instructions anyway. :p

I want info on the Jem unit. Anybody? This thing really is a mystery.

i asked about the esc for ya on another thread, i did a google search n came up empty....this is a good mystery.did u even test it to see if it works?i would take a safe bet n test it with a stock motor like a 540 tamiya silver can.

I would test it, but it's brand new and don't want to cut into the wires to install connectors.

It's really strange. There is a piece of clear tape that goes around the whole thing to hold the upper and lower halves together, and that tape also has the labels screened onto it. That tape actually covers one of the adjustment holes, so that would have to be poked through to test is as well.

If it's collectible, I'd rather keep it unused, yanno? :)
