I have a stadium truck (nitro) and after running it the FIRST time I lost a few parts because it was not put together properly when manufactured.

I was wondering if any T-Maxx owners could give me a few tips before I run it. Are they put together good or do I need to lock tite every screw??? This thing has more guts in it than I expected. Looks like a bunch of stuff in it that could go wrong???

I guess I would just like some advice....

thank you :D

Just got mine too. Only thing that came off was a nut on the throttle linkage. Otherwise, this thing is ROCK solid. Love it!

Check the shocks, some have come from the manufacture less then full. Thread lock the motor mounting screws and keep your eye on the lower mounting screws if you remove them. DO NOT flood the engine because this can cause the ez-start gears to strip. Clean the one-way bearing after every run, least after every other run and let it soak overnight in denatured alcohol. Simply spraying it with nitro cleaner isn't enough. That is from the Traxxas customer service people. Take the muffler bafle out of the pipe for better performance. And have a ton of fun.
These are my suggestions/opinions, you can take them as just that.
Yes I do have a T-Maxx by the way. I also suggest getting the RPM A-arms for $10.95 a corner because RPM guarentees them against breaking. The only catch to this is you would have to send them the arms because some LHSs don't honor the guarentee. I have yet to break one and have put my Maxx through some real bad beatings.

i thinks traxxas should put some metal gears in the E-Z start for more reliability. if you are considering some arms they are a pain to install but worth it..check out E-maxx a-arms problem to see what i mean.

regarding the metal EZ Start gears; they are better as is. With metal gears, the EZ Start wouldnt break as much but it could some serious damage to the engine. If the engine was hydra-locked, and you hit the button, the connecting rod might snap. Most electric starters have a plastic "sacrificial gear". In my opinion, buying a 2-3 dollar gear is much better than a 30 dollar piston sleeve.
