OK, I've had some fun with 1/10th and now I want to try a 1/8th scale mt. Finally I can get a new truck. here's the one's I'm interested in:
USA-1 Nitro Crusher or Monster Pirate. I know many different opinions are going to be presented to me about these but I'm not trying to start an argument or anything. Tell me which one is the best truck, and then please tell me which one is the best bang for the buck. Please do not suggest any other MT's because I've made up my mind to this point. I appreciate your help.

I have owned a Monster Pirate before. Most people I have talked to say the USA is too slow even for a monster truck.

I can tell you first hand that the MP is an awesome truck and not much will stop it. One suggestion though is to ditch the shock oil sludge that comes with it and get some 60wt oil. It'll handle much better that way.

I have a monster pirate and it's a fast truck and i think you could find parts easier then finding them for a U.S.A 1

I own a USA1 and it is slower because its gearing is 23:1 while the monster pirates is 18:1. Why would you want speed get a RS4, monster trucks are for climbin and tearing stuff up. Of course the monster pirate has a better parts supply because it probably breaks more. My USA1 is 3 years old and I have yet to break anything except body post, and I do put stress on my truck.

Well, the high price, old design, and bad parts availability have turned me away from the USA-1 even though it is probably one of the greatest trucks I could have ever owned. I think I'll go with the MP- good engine ( from what I've heard ), newer design, cheaper price, and the only downside I see is that it is not available as a combo with an O.S. engine but that can't be that big of a difference and that it doesn't have 8 shocks. I was also considering a MB but it isn't as popular and I'll go with the majority in this case and it doesn't come with an engine also. Now I just need to find a cheap radio (I have no need for the best out there, just a good cheap one ) so can you suggest a good radio and servos (preferably packaged together) and I'll be on my way. Sorry for all my endless posts on what car to get, I was in the dreaming state. But now I'm actually going for one. Any replies about good radios and servos will be appreciated. Thanks again.

Oh yeah, should I get it with the Hyper .21 or the Force p4 .21?

I think I would go with the Hyper before I went with the Force. I'm using the Ofna/Picco pullstart in mine and it runs great. But I've hear a few on other boards that say the Hyper runs better (if comparing 2 pullstart engines). Have fun.
