Hi guys,
I have heard that the Emaxx is the best for beginers. But I have some questions. What is the esc on a truck? I keep on seeing post and thay say "My esc burned up!" And how much does an upgrade cost and how do you do it? And how fast will that E-maxx go with the best upgrade?

I heard that some of the first ESC had a glitch but they have been replaced with better ones now. Usually an ESC burns up because of misuse, but you have to remember the E-Maxx has double motors and uses 12 cells. That's a lot of juice for any ESC. More ESC companies need to make more powerful ESCs for vehicles like the E-Maxx.
As far as speed and upgrades go, that depends. You can spend an unlimited amount of money upgrading, it just depends on what you want to do. And speed is relative to all your components, although the truck should be able to do at least 25MPH stock.

An E-MAXX is probably a really nice car for beginners. You don't want a nitro car for your first (like the T-MAXX). Go with electric, no matter what you're looking for. The E-MAXX will have plenty of speed and power for a beginner, but once you have some money, if you don't already, you can hop up that truck to your hearts desire! An ESC (electronic speed control) is a little box that, I don't know exactly, takes the power of your batteries and uses it to power the motors. The receiver in your truck will tell it how much power to give, and when, when you "hit the gas" with your truck. The SPEED CONTROL increeases/decreases the speed of a car.
