Hi ALL, I hate to ask this Question over and over again. But I didn't get the answer I'm looking for. Why is the Monster Pirate so much better then a T-MAXX. I really don't won't to end up with a buggy on big wheels and that's what the MP sounds like. I only have about 500 total to spend. I have a couple of nitro's and electrics already so a radio isn't that important. What should I buy? It will be mainly for Bashing around and being the biggest baddest monster on the block.

I have a Tmaxx and have seen and driven MPs. It is true that a tmaxx is pretty much amoney pit until you replace many of the stock parts... but rebuilding the truck is half the fun right? http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Honestly, either of them is a great choice

Personally I think all nitro "Monster Truck" are buggies with big tires on them. It's just that the T-Maxx has a little more clearance under the center. All nitro trucks are running 4 wheel independant suspension. If you're comparing them to real monster trucks they're not going to have solid axle drivelines.
I have the MP and prefer it to the T-Maxx. And yes I have driven them both.

It seems like everyone forgets that T-maxx is 10th scale and Mp is 8th...so why dont you compare MP with NitroQuake or MonsterBlazer all the time....T-MAXX 10th scale..MP 8th SCALE ...remember there is a difference

No Traxxas just calls the T-maxx 1/10th scale The T-Maxx is 1/8th scale it just has a little engine in it. Wheelbase of the T-maxx is 12". In no 1/10 scale class (on/off road buggy truck)can the wheelbase be more than 11.5". So a 12" wheelbase puts it in 1/8 scale. Not to mention the 125cc tank thats not allowed in 1/10 scale

People compare the two because they are planning to purchase what the believe to be the best choice for their use. There is nothing wrong to compare vehicles of different sizes or different catagories.
For example, if I were to purchase another vehicle my self I would be torn between another MP just because I like the heck out of them, another Clod to build an after market chassis, an Ofna Pirate 10T with a .21 engine and the optional 2-speed for pure speed, and an electric dragster/hot rod.
None of them are comparable but I want them all. I would just have to decide which to purchase first if at all.
No I'm not confused, just greedy http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
