I have been looking on Towerhobbies.com and the MP is $259.99 and I have never done nitro so I would need other stuff (My LHS said at there place it would cost about $40.00 get that stuff.) And the T-Maxx at my LHS is like $359.99! I don't want to spend that much money! When I could get a MP (That is better!) (well I have heard that it is, but is it?)
Thanks
If you have Pics of your Monter pirate I would like to see them, I have not seen many MP (Well none!)

I don't know that one is definitely better than the other. Everyone has their opinions, but no one has any evidence. It's all about what you want. The Monster Pirate is certainly a great truck and a lot of fun to run, but so is the T-maxx. I'm sure you'll get a bunch of posts telling you to buy one and not the other, but just do what you want to do. Get the one that looks like the most fun for what you're into. And no matter what, enjoy it, that's what it's for! :)

Just if you don't know: The T-maxx is cheaper than the MP. The T-Maxx is $360 ready to run, only add some fuel and batteries and you're off.
For $260 for the MP however, you only get a kit. So you will have to add an engine, radio gear and servo's to the price. So that will be about $500 at least. Then of course you still need some fuel and batteries, just like the T-Maxx.

$360 for a T-Maxx is an awesome price. I paid 400 for mine at my LHS. I have seen some mail order places as low as 377. I would have mail ordered but mine was an impulse buy. and when you impulse buy you dont want to wait around 2 to 5 days. Another thing to look for is replacement parts. Does your LHS stock parts for the MP? How fun is that MP gonna be when you have to wait a couple of days whenever you need a part. Almost all stores will carry the most popular parts for the T-Maxx. And one thing that is for certain, you WILL break parts. As for which one is better, I dont know. I love my T-Maxx but i am sure that the MP would be a blast too.

If you are looking for pics type in Dirty Pirate into the search engine and you should find a ton. He has posted more then I would want to count. From what I have experenced while talking to him trough this BB his would be the one to ask if you have a MP question. Also I would hunt down project twin for T-Maxx questions. But if nothing else use the search engine and surf through the results. I think you would be surprised be the enormous amount of opinions you will find on this very subject.

Here's a picture of my Monster Pirate. I've never run a T-Maxx before so it'd be unfair for me to compare the two, but I can tell you that I've had a blast running my MP all over creation.

Grandmasterofpool, I'm sorry I forgot you had a MP. It seems like forever since I saw you post. I remember the help you gave me about why MP bodies always seem soo high off the chassis on another thread.
R/C_Eagle GMOP is another good source of MP information.
Keep it real dude,

I had them all and the only one that I would say to get is the T-Maxx. You can get any kind of hop-up you want. And when you get tired of the .12 or .15 motors you can up grade to A .21 like the MP. :D :D :D

Hay, just got the t-maxx with the pro 15 in it it is a pretty cool truck comes rtr the radio is basic the servos are ok but the truck is fast seem to mee needs a little more beefer parts in it but i paid 419 for mine i did a price comparison between the maxx mp and nitro quake to make the maxx a .21 you will invest more money in it than a quake rtr the mp comes as a 80% kit no engin but you can get it with a engin but you also need the radio and servos i guess what i have found to give the maxx the .21 power of the other two you will spend more for it but as a box stock it is a blast to run
