2 problems with getting the Monster blazer and/ore a t-maxx. If you get the monster pirate, it'll handle a hair better than your nitro quake, and blow it away in accelleration. If you get the t-maxx, it'll be nearly as fast as the quake, but will way out handle it. Then you won't like you quake any more! One advantage to the quake is that the tires look really cool on a t-maxx, and the engine will mount to it if you get an extended chassis!

Just a little ribbing there! Teh t-maxx Is my favorite and has by far the best hop-up options. It handles so much better than the big tired biggies (Quake and monster pirate) and has a suspension that you won't believe.

All of them have their weaknesses and will break with abuse, but all are pretty killer straight out of the box. I suggest the T-Maxx but then again I'm totally biast.

Check out my page to see a bunch of t-maxx stuff, it might help you decide.

I say, go with the T-maxx because you already have a preety good 1/8 monster so get something a little bit different. The T-maxx is so awsome because its so great out of the box and there are so many hop ups for it. Its crazy about how much aluminum parts that you can slap on this cool truck.
The Mp is also really cool but its just another 1/8 scaler.

I too am agag at the latest post by Quake!!! I never thought he'd opt for a T-Maxx. Well, Quake is a real good, helpful guy. I guess we can forgive his previous Maxx bashing. Quake on Quake&Shake.

OK OK Take your shots I deserve them.
I have raced against a T-maxx before (and won) so I know how my Quake fairs against it.I have yet to see a MP. You can make just a few sus. adjustments and have way more GC than the way it(Quake) is out of the box and make it steer a whole lot better. I have not put down the Maxx in a long time so please no more putting down me or my Quake. I love my Quake AND my 1986 Blackfoot that I still run. I got a bonus from work my wife got half I got half. I want another NITRO TRUCK I am addicted. Plus my wife would like to run it also.I think she is jealous of the amount of time I spend running my Quake.
NOW what 1-2-3 things should I look to replace right away? I will keep the engine that comes with the T if I get it. My lhs just got more in today and will sell me one for $360. I think thats a good deal. Heck I only paid $200 for my Quake. So I could wind up paying $560 for two trucks.
OH and if more than one company makes a part that you suggest to be replaced, which company makes THAT part better. Thanks for any of your guys help. And your ribbing.

Are there any other Quake owners here at all? I cant be the only one. Can I?
I am getting the itch to get another truck. T-maxx or Monster Pirate. What I would like to know is what parts seem to be more prone to breaking on each truck? Please be honest and dont say you go off 20 foot high jumps all the time and land without a scratch. Unless its true then I want to know what truck that is. Thanks

I have a MP and my buddy has a T-Maxx. To be honest with you if I had to have only one I would keep my MP. This is not a knock against T-Maxx's but I prefer the way the MP handles and accellerates.
If I were going to buy a second Nitro Monster I would get one of two things:
1. Get a second MP, gear it up and put buggy tires on it. The reason is less spare parts and a spare parts truck to support what ever I was running that day. Besides, with buggy tires it would be like HPI's NMT except that it would be bigger, stronger, and faster.
2. Get a T-Maxx. The reason is variety. I don't really need two 1/8 monster trucks in the house. Just ask my wife lol. Besides, I've always liked Traxxas products and I think the T-Maxx is a great truck.

Some people say the cup is half full.
Some people say the cup is half empty.
I say the cup is twice as big as it needs to be.

You have to Buy a T-maxx it is awsome to do tricks with and you can stand it up and ride like that for a while it is sweet! The T-maxx is the Ultamate Truck!

To jump it or not to jump it that is the question?

Even with a fully hopped up T-maxx it would not stand a chance to a monster pirate with a competition engine, it would also be way cheaper.
