I have an old Kyosho Hi-Rider Vette. Bought it when it was new. It has been sitting in a box for some time now. I was looking around for a new Monster and discovered that the USA-1 seems to use the same chassis and alot of other parts. My question is has anyone ever seen this truck modified with USA-1 a-arms and carriers to extend the track. I'm not really ready to go all out and convert to the Clod size tires. Just want better performance to start.
Here are a couple pics in case no one remembers it.

As you can see from the pics it has ok articulation (which was only achieved by changing the shocks), but with a narrow track it doesn't handle too well. Flips over very easy.
Any info on making this truck perform would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Kyosho Double Dare , which is the exact same truck , but with the Nissan Body .
I ' m trying to restore it but stuff is HARD to find .
I got it at an auction of estates with a lot of other R / C stuff . Like 4ch Futaba radio , the Double Dare , A mint Marui Big Bear , Five batteries , Power supply , and a charger for the whopping price of 55 bucks .
I sold the Marui at Ebay for 100 bucks and also the radio for 110 bucks , and now I ' m using that money to restore the Double Dare .

Personally I wouldn't even drive it. Keep it as a static model. When I first got back into the hobby, I almost bought a used one for about $50 assembled. I didn't get it because I figured all the parts were obsolete and I wanted a truck that I could buy parts for. The guy that owned it ended up selling it to the local hobby shop and the owner kept it and let his kid drive it. Well they broke something in the rear suspension and the truck has been haning on the wall for a while now with one rear tire pointed in the wrong direction.
I would keep it as a static model and get something that you'll beable to get parts for to drive.

Some people say the cup is half full.
Some people say the cup is half empty.
I say the cup is twice as big as it needs to be.

Yeah I had pretty much come to the conclusion that it will be a collector piece. So I'm gonna park it and keep it in it's almost new condition.

Well guess what guys. I picked up a Big Boss on ebay real cheap! It's a little worn out but has full bearings and 4" oil filled shocks. Figured it would make a better doner truck to start my USA-1 conversion. I'll get pics of it soon. Still need some USA-1 suspension arms, knuckles and carriers. If anyone has some they are willing to part with let me know.
