Does anybody know of any T-MAXX websites that explain how to do the conversion? I can't find anything. Thanks for any help.

Get a pullstart version of the motor. Most .15s will bolt in - you'll save weight, hassel factor & improve dependability.

Just my .02

Jeremy, im in the process of order an os cvx hyper as i type. Ever heard of maxxtraxx.com? A while back when i posted alot there. a handipcapped dude made an ez-start adapter. Bruckner hobbies now sells an adapter. i read you can make an adapter with plixiglass but if you want the steps in print. Order this April 2001 issue of RC Car Magazine, not rcca, rc car magazine. They did an article on how to convert an engine to ez-start.

People at maxx traxx say to try the pull start first. Because after breakin in its starts on the first or second pull. before i convert mine im going to try the pull.

OOO one other thing. If you buy the CV and not the CVX Hyper, your going to need to buy a backplate and a few other things, go ahead and buy the hyper it will save you the hassle of tring to find all the parts, and you have a the pullstart to fall back on.

Thanks for the info. I just bought a .15 CV-X last week and the pull start works okay so I might just stick with it. The only bad thing is that right after I finished breaking it in the air filter fell off while I was driving in a dusty area so my new motor is history. Just to top it off I was letting my friend drive my XXX-NT and the same thing happened to it. I am not having very good luck lately! Thanks again.

Sometimes people nock the EZ start system. I just love watching my buddy trying to start his T with a pull start (when its hot) and I just hit a button and I'm off. I smile every time :D

Jeremy67, put a wire-tie around the neck of the airfilter and tighten it down firmly. This will prevent the air filter from coming off 95% of the time.
