Cheap & good:

Reversed the throttle/brake linkage
Filled the shocks with oil
Titainium turnbuckles
RC10GT pipe
Slammed the body down on chassis
18 tooth clutch
Removed primer from tank
Fuel filter
Removed fwd/rev servo-lock in fwd

Expensive & good:

HPI Nitrostar motor (OS Hyper might be better)
75Mhz radio-Futaba PCM
Futaba 9450 servo for steering

The radio changes made an incredible difference in the drivability of this truck. With the fast & strong servo steering response has improved alot. Also going to 75Mhz gives me 30 channels to pick from :D
The Traxxes servos have J plugs with the same wireing so the plug right into the Futaba reciever.

Mark,
Since you slammed the body don't forget to add a couple zip ties around the top fins of the head. They will protect the head from scratches and bent fins in case of roll overs. RCCA had that as a tech tip several issues ago. Unfortunately for me I didn't use the tip until I had already bent the top cooling fin and scratched the blue anodizing after I rolled my T-Maxx hard with the body as low as I could get it.

Jerry, thanks for the tip. The fins on the HPI motor are pretty thin - they're already bent, I'm doin an OS next time-the fins are alot thicker & will handle my "upside down from 7 ft in the air" landings much better.
