I got this tip from some people over on rcmt. Have you been looking for a way to run T-Maxx rubber on your mt, but don't want to pay $150+ for fancy custom aluminum rims? Well guess what? OFNA's Blazer SST rims will hold a Maxx tire just fine and are only about $12 a pair!!! You'll need to change to 17mm hubs if you run 19mm's.
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

Are you sure?
I just looked at the Blazer SST at towerhobbies site the rims look pretty narrow to me. Just like buggy rims.

I think the Blazer rims are taller but narrow like 1/8th buggy rims. I dont think they are wide enough but who knows...

I'm not 100% positive, but I've heard this from very reliable sources. I plan on trying it myself so I'll post back with the results and some pics.
Apparently the rims are the same height and only 1/16" narrower than stock maxx rims. I too thought that SST rims were basically buggy rims, but I guess I was wrong.

yes i have already run them on my MP. prettty sweet. cept i had massive engine troubles- non related.
the rims are a exact match to the tmaxx wheels, cept the backspacing is adjusted to the center of the wheel, not front or back.
