do i need sleeve and piston for tmaxx

yesterday i drove my tmaxx and it started to drive funny and pour smoke out of the gas tank after i stopped the truck i noticed that i stripped out spur gear and. i noticed i could not re start tmaxx after giving it a close look i noticed that gas is spurtin out under heat sink not alot but enough, cant get tmaxx started...is there anything i could check without physically ripping out motor...also any suggestions about different motor this stock 15 has been giving me lots of problems.also what is the stock carb setting for the tmaxx.......thanks

Stock carb settings are no help with that carb, it is a pain and never stays set where it was. If this motor isn't shot, put a os or associated carb on it, it will make that motor shine.

If gas is leaking from under the heat sink, take off the heat sink, clean it up, clean where it meets up with the block, and bolt it back on.

As for another motor, get an OS cv hyper. Best motor for the tmaxx.
