E-maxx wheels and tires on a stmapede?

Yeah, I've been asking around about this- does anybody make wheels with the right offset to outfit Stampedes with Maxx tires?

Here's what I've heard. Some guys have taken Clod wheels and glued and pushed Pede rimes in side of them to either make clod wheels to fit a Pede or to whden a Clod's stance. I have heard some people say you can do the samething with stock Maxx wheels. All you have to do is cut, grind, or sand out the spokes on the inside of the Maxx wheels so the Pede rimes will sit flush agenst the back of the Maxx rimes. You 0will also need to sand all the crome off the Maxx rims where you will glue the Pede rimes.

I have never seen this done, and have not hears of someone doing it yet, but I think it might work.

actually i could do it pretty easily, if i knew how much length it was from the outside of the hub to outside of the rim. if it is like 2 inches than i can do it with a simple 10 dollar modifacation.....when i do buy the modification ill post and say if it worked

Thanks- please tell us how it goes. Stampede owners everywhere have wanted to be able to do this affordably. There 1 or 2 companies that make Stampede wheels that mount Clod tires, but WHEW! I haven't got $$ to burn witha baby on the way. I hadn't thought of picking up some e-maxx wheels and studying how to mod them (I work in an engineering office- you'd think I could have figured something like this out already. Oh- maybe its because I'm not an engineer!!!!!!) :eek:

What about the deepdish wheels for the e-maxx I think that if you just got a bigger hex nut they should fit right on.

Hey guys would it possible to maybe push regular sized 2.2 in rims inside maxx wheels? is that the same size as a stampede wheel? lmk, i'm turning my t2 into an 8 shock monster!!! :D

I would love to have some Maxx tires for my stampede since the Maxxes came out there have been so many cool tires for them i would like to have for my Nitro Stampede.null
