I have the stock .15 TRX engine in my Maxx and after running a couple tanks of gas the carb comes loose. I have tried ultra black sealent around the opening and thread lock on the nut..... WHAT the heck else can I do?

(besides buy a new engine)

If no one can help me out I am going to take care of the problem with JB Weld....

There's no reason to JB Weld the carb in unless it's bent. Remove the carb, the neck screw & retainer pieces, and check them for wear. If they're bent or destroyed, you've found your problem ;)

If nothing seems wrong, clean the parts off & reassemble. Use some blue-loctite on the retainer nut & tighten the screw 'till it's snug..then tighten about 10degrees more. It should stay on then.

After I flipped the carb on my T-Maxx I had the same problem. The servo was pulling the carb toward it instead of just moving the little arm. Then I noticed that the mount is a cam mount so it actually holds the carb in-place with presure. The little lock nut doesn't seem to do a lot but to give you something to twist the cam-shapped rod. By making sure the cam is putting pressure on the carb and the lock nut is holding the rod tightly your loose carb should be able to hold strong.
Hope this helps,
Jerry
