Hey I got my T-MAXX for Christmas and I stripped the spur gear out of it on my 3rd tank of fuel. I replaced the spur gear with no problem. Today I was driving the truck and the gears stripped out. I think it is the spur gear again. Sometimes when I am going up a icy slick hill and I floor the truck it won't spin tires. The motor just revs up and the clutch slips. Has anybody else had this much trouble with the T-MAXX gears. I am starting to think that the truck is a peice of **** , I doesn't seem like that it is worth 560.00 if it is going to act like this all the time.

Thanks

if its the spur gear that keeps stripping check your spur gear clutch bell mesh. Lossen the engine mounts, slide a piece of paper between the spur gear and clutch bell, slide em together and tighten ut up. My tmaxx had similar little problems during break in. dont worry after you get them all straightened up i is great truck.

I think his mesh might be fine but his slipper is too loose.

I think the slipper clutch is either to tight or too loose in the instructions it says to adjust the slipper clutch on a high traction surface such as carpet it also says the slipper clutch should be ingaged for about three seconds and it makes a high pitch sound

Is that 3 tanks in total?

or three after breakin? If its three total you should not be mashing on the throtle.

Check you sliper it might be to loose and check you needle setting might to rich or lean.

Good luck

Soemthing aint right, Project MadMaXX has gone through 3 engines, and now I run a .21 and only broke 2 so far??? Make sure when you fis it, that the gears are close togather, they should be as close as you can get them, but make sure it can still spin freely. spin the spur gear and make sure you don't have a bent shaft coming out of the tranny.

Hey my Maxx is a peice of crap. Just yesterday I put the gear in the easy start that I stripped out. Again today I stripped the same gear out. I think that my Motor is a peice of **** . It is really hard to turn. I know that it is not hydrolocked beacuse I've turned it over and got all the fuel ran out of it and it still is hard to turn over. I can barley turn it over by hand. I have only had the Maxx since Christmas. So far all I have had is trouble from it.
