Hey t-maxx people..i was wondering are the dual exhausts ok for the t-maxx?i'm planning on making one for my self instead of buying those $50 ones on ebay.

IN MY OPINION...............
With the rear exhaust pipes, the cooling needed by these glow engines may not be properly achieved due to gravity.
The oils in the fuel are heavy & what doesn't burn needs a place to escape, which is out the end of the pipe.
When you put a pipe on there that has an increase in height at the exit, compared to the exhaust port, a build up can partially plug off the exhaust flow.
This could increase engine temps & tuning problems.

I make and sell dual exhuast, and i dont blame you for making youre own,but ive run mine through 3 gallons b4 i had to rebuild it,and traxxas says 2 gallons, and if its not supposed to go up right after leaving the engine, then why does the MIP stinger do that??

A little clarification is in order here. Nobody makes a dual exhaust engine for the T-Maxx so it's really not possible to have a dual exhaust system now is it? ;) A dual TAILPIPE on the other hand IS possible :D

allright, i said i'd let you know well i'm lettin' you know, i SMOKED my engine, :(  don't buy or build one of these. i had to much back pressure on bottom and not enough on top, could'nt get through a half a tank without it stalling cause it was so hot. put my cvec back on(and a new piston and sleeve, i might add :( )and i've got almost a half a quart through it. :D

do you guys know what tuned pipes are? ok then.. so why would racers and most r/c enthusiests be running some sorta tuned pipe on thier glow engines.... because the engines run best with specially designed exhaust systems. the tuned pipes (at least the good ones) like ones made my novarossi, have a specific shape to them. different shapes in the convergent and divergent cones give different performence.
so stickin thin copper piping out the back of the engine and runin then in duel out the back of a truck is gonna suck in performance.. boast all u want about the sound.. just dont whine when i zip past you when my engine gets on the pipe :)
might not be bad for the engine bet you are for sure limiting your power... and if u dont have proper backpressure into the fuel tank.. u can be runnin lean-- even if yer needles are set correct...

nitro-junkie,did you biuld them with a internal baffle,if you didnt thats probly why
or if you did i think you used the wrong size,i just use a washer with a 1/16" hole in the middle, but make shure its in the part AFTER tyhe pressuer fitting

The c-vec rear-exit manifold is sweet. It goes behind the engine. Put a cvec pipe on, and boom you have dual exhaust!
