I just wanted to ask how long you have to use the break in fuel for a T-Maxx. I'm going CRAZY! This "week" that I'm waiting through till the LHS get's T-Maxx's is driving me NUTS!

How do you know when it's truely broken in, or do you just guess? I would suspect it probably just starts to run a lot better.

i wont cut off as much, it will sound better, and you wont use as much gas.

after you break in the motor make sure to adjust the carb so it doesnt run to rich, that will help.

check out traxxas web site they give great details on how to break in you engine and how the engine should sound and react when running your truck.

Good luck

The whole "break in fuel" thing is a scam. It's simply not necessary to use special fuel to break in your engine. Just use the fuel you plan to always run in the truck and you'll be fine. Take your time breaking in the engine. It'll last a lot longer. I'd say about 7-10 tanks and that's a good break in period. Remember that if you ever switch fuels to richen the carb and then slowly lean it out again to make sure the engine gets broken in to the different fuel (especially if you move to one with a higher nitro content).
