I'm just a hobbyist, I don't have any interest in hardcore racing. I just want to get together with somebody and mess around with r/c cars. I have a Nitro RS4, Losi XX, and a Bolink Pro Street Electric.

Me and and couple of other guys at work just recently got some R/C cars.

Me - T3 Team Kit
Friend 1 - B3 Team Kit
Friend 2 - Traxxas Stampede RTR

There is a track off of South Cobb drive that we are going to try and run one day. You might be interested in that.

We also frequent a BMX track out in Powder Springs that provides some pretty cool jumps.

Where is this track off of S. Cobb? Haven't heard of that one. Have you tried over at Sugar Hill. They have a dirt track and a great concrete oval. Their dirt track isn't as much fun as the BMX track at Wildhorse Creek Park, but it is scaled down more to be more realistic for r/c.

Well, it is close to the intersection of Windy Hill and South Cobb. It is a track that a couple of guys built, and they run gas every Sunday from about noon to 5 or 6.

We ran it the other day, and it is a pretty cool track.

Where is Sugar Hill?

Sugar Hill is up 400 at the HWY 20 exit. That's just south of Lake Lanier. I believe this is the Buford Hwy exit. Go east on 20 for quite a few miles(maybe ten)and it will be on the right. The address is:

Sugar Bowl R/C Speedway
5272 Nelson Brogdon Blvd.
Sugar Hill, Georgia
30518

This is the place that gave me the bug to get my RS/4. The oval is really fun to watch. I say "watch" because I have yet to go back after I bought my HPI. It's a pretty good haul to get up there, but I feel it is worth it. Make a day out of it. They have benches set up with electricity so you can spread out your gear and tweak away all day.

Sorry to keep asking you about this S.Cobb track, but where would I need to look for it at. I live about atwo miles from that intersection, but I haven't seen it. Any landmarks?

Thanks,
CB

Well, e-mail me a jon.arendt@medaphis.com and I will give you the name and number of the guy who built the track. I would just recommend you calling before you go out there. He is a real nice guy, but, just to make sure, I would call.

The track is right behind a little gym in a white building (sorry, I can't recall the name right now), on the right hand side of the road (if you are heading south).

When you call the guy, he will be able to be a little more precise than me http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
