Hello Michigan racers,
Speaking of off road tracks, I am building an outdoor off road track at my parents house in Richmond (right near the I-94 and 32 mile road intersection). I have the area cleared and ready to begin track layout (which will take some time because I am building this single handedly). The shape of the plot looks like this \______\ , or basically a stretched rectangle with an area of 5,200 sq ft.
The track will not be the typical hard packed or blue groove track, this track will be a combination of sand and topsoil (it will be loose dirt, but traction should be good). I am currently working on the track layout, it should be a good mix of speed, jumps (some good sized), rhythm sections, and technical sections. I plan to let people use the track for practice and maybe a loosely thrown together race.
If you would like to be notified of the progress and details when it is finished, please email me at broken003@juno.com. I will also be able to send pictures of the track layout. These emails will also help me gage the interest for a track in that location ( I know that the majority of racers are from farther south).
