I haven't messed with RC cars in about ten years and decided that I would get back in the game. Anyway just wanted to know if anybody could tell me of where and what kind of tracks there are in NC. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

you might want to check out the regional or club forums on the main list of forums here. you'd probly have some luck there

Moving to regional forum. You get more response there. Also check the track directory link on the Car Action and RC Nitro home pages.

Dirt tracks electric and nitro
There are 2 tracks in Charlotte. 2 in Fayettville. The one on Greensboro closed but all the equipment was bought and is being moved to Level Cross. Several in Wilmington. One planned for Hillsborough.
Pavement tracks electric and nitro
The only one I'm aware of is run by the hobby shop in Chapel Hill. Their schedule begins this Sunday. They are racing in a mall parking lot (have done so for about 2 years). This year will be more organized and every weekend. The track is at the University Mall on the backside. Registration begins at 2pm. Practice from 2:15 to 3:15. Racing begins at 3:30. From Sanford, take Hy15 north to Chapel Hill and turn left onto Estes Drive at University Mall.

I know they race at the Hungate's in Chapel Hill (I don't know if that is the same track or not). Supposedly every other weekend. We race at the Hungate's in Roanoke, VA. Our schedule is to race the weekends they don't race down there. There are a lot of people that race at both places. I haven't been to the Chapel Hill track, but I'm planning on it this season.
If you're into ovals, there is a very nice track in Sand Hills. But they are pretty serious there, so you better come ready to race.
