i'm new to the scene and i was wondering if anyone knew a good place to go for cars/parts/etc. around chicago?
i'm acutally about 45 minutes west of chicago.

i was just lookin for a good place that would be helpful to someone new like me, who is gonna have alot of questions and stuff. and obviously competitive prices, good selection and all that jazz.

Hey TA03, thanks so much for your offer! i'm actually burning both ends of the candle and have a topic started in the electrics forum...if you don't mind looking at that. i was just curious about chicago area shops. the other thread already has some answers you've given me.

I'm gonna answer that ? here... there is Stanton here on milwaukee and lawrence, then there is Tom Thumbs in evanston... but i am not sure if they carry it... as for the rtr... is there an rtr kit? cause i didnt see it... did you look in tower hobbies? if not check out this site www.towerhobbies.com (http://www.towerhobbies.com)
Does anyone have an events listing for the summer for the Chicagoland area... Any clubs?

I go to Stanton Hobby shop for parts, etc. and I race in Bolingbrook at Radio-Active Raceways. Everyone at the racetrack seemed VERY helpful and knowledgable.

hey guys im from about an hour west of chicago dependign on how ya drive im in aurora,il take 88 west from the city. where are you guys from i have tons of vacant parkign lots a few blocks from my house and am always looking for people to come join me in the fun. let me know and maybe we can all set soemthing up and try and get a day where we allc an make it out there

i'm in chicago too. there seems like there is nothing organized around here. i did a little racine at hobbytown in niles. when the weather gets better, i'm going to venture to bollingbrook to check out races there. what kind of races do they have there by the way?

West of Chicago their are a few good ones.
Hobby Town USA in Aurora Corner of New York, & 59 in the best buy shopping center.
(They have a pretty good selection, and they will match prices)
AL's Hobby in Elmhurst in downtown Elmhurst.
Great Hobby Shop, They give 20% Cash Discounts on most parts.
Hobby Town USA in Geneva on Randle Road just north of Fabian Rd.
Pretty Good Selection, Non-Negotiable on prices.
Hobby Town USA in St. Charles on the corner of Kirk & Rt. 64
This is a new shop with the same owners of the Geneva Store.
They are trying to get a better selection.
