How about Williamsport? About 1 hour east of State College.
We just finished our new off-road track at J&K Hobbies. It's under a roof with a small parts trailer, small concessions and power outlets. Can't remember e-mail or phone number, though. Check the track directory. Sorry, no web site yet either.

adambomb, pitstops track is nice, last time I was there they were about to redo it, I havent been down there since, I race at a private track that a friend of mine built outside of duncannon, we run all types of classes there, 1/8 buggys, Mtrucks and 1/10 scale stadium, it is a high banked dirt oval. a little smaller than kranzels was.

06-30-2004, 10:58 PM
I don't like Kranzel's too much. They charge $30 for fuel, and the one guy there hasn't even heard of XTM. I have never been to a track before, and I have a question. Can you just go there and drive for fun without racing? :o Sorry I'm such a noob with my stupid questions.

Has anybody ever been to Racer's Edge in Smethport, Pa.? They are preparing for their off-road season now with the addition of a dirt oval this year. It's a little "out of the way" but a very well run racing program, hobby shop, GREAT food, lots of electric and a very friendly, helpfull bunch of racers. All classes are welcome although the off-road track is a bit small for large, high power, nitro vehicles (truggies, 1/8 scales) but we have run them there. Come on out and check it out for yourself!

http://www.racersedgerc.com/ Carpet oval and roadcourse. I have been racing here for a number of years and it is a well organized, clean, very accommodating and competitive place to race. The CRC fasttrack ozite carpet is always clean and fast, a full kitchen with great food at low prices, on-site parts and supplies, 50/50 cash and r/c related prize drawings, and pit tables, chairs and a power strip are all provided; no need to lug that extra 100lbs. of gear here. They have a very friendly atmosphere and are a very willing to help group of racers. New people to the sport are always very welcome and encouraged. If you have something they don't normally run just bring a friend, it only takes two to make a class here! Stop by and check it out for yourself!

Forgot to mention where the track is located, It is in Smethport,Pa. which is in the north central part of Pa. It is located at the McKean County Fairgrounds, and yes, that is also where the McKean County Raceway is where the big cars run. Race day is Sunday with the doors opening at 9:30am and racing starts at 12:30pm. There are also some Saturday $CASH$ races planned too but not real sure on the dates for those.
