Anyone have any luck painting Pro-Line dish style rims? If so, what paint and procedure do you use? Does the paint stick?

You'll have much better luck if you dye them, because the paint will easily get scraped off. It's your choice, though. If you want to paint them, try using some regular model paint.

I roughend up my rims w/180 grit sand paper, then airbrushed on Faskolor paint. To seal the paint, I covered the rims w/a couple of coats of Varathane from a spray can. Seems to be holding up fine for now (6 tanks of fuel) but not too sure about the long run. If they wear off Ill have to keep painting them lol

I agree that I should dye them.. but I bought some HPI street tires for my T3 and they came already glued on the rims.... 2 different color rims. I want to paint them to match. Kinda picky, but I like the uniformity. I guess if I scuff them like illbreakit suggested, seeing how it is only road racing, they should hold up.

Otherwise... is there anyway to get the glued tires OFF of the rims??
