I suffer from "i-have-ideas-with-no-skills-to-paint-them." I hate masking tape and time...

Bob always usues an airbrush unless he sais otherwise, at least to my knowledge.

To speed up your paint job, buy a painting template where you mask the template and paint everything else, then take the tape off and paint that.

guys i have my scheme is an american flag the white is going to be pearl and the red and blue candy then imma back the whole thing with the pearl so it glimmers. what do ya think? i got it from Dale Earnhards specal edition car u know the 96 oliympics one well ill tell u guys how it turns out.

Perimeter fade job was done with standard-issue spray cans...

I had that same virus for a long time... funny thing is that ideas are everywhere...the trick is turning them into a useful idea...Let's try an example together. Somebody pick a subject or products unrelated to RC (bizarre is fine) and we'll work from there...This is an idea game I have fun with and usually successful results... i'll check this threaf tomorrow.

a thunderstorm and i have a question , do i wait till the paint is dry to take off the mask, because on my models i waited till it was dry and sometimes it would peel up the paint with it.thanks

Frog when that happens(you peel up the mask and the paint comes with it) if that starts to happen take a very sharp exacto knife and trim along the edge of the mask while you peel it up. I learned that tips when my mom was repainting the house.

hey, I need a paint scheme too! is there any transparent paint? I know what colors I would like to use but I still need a scheme.

Heres what colors I would like in my paint job: silver, black, a litle neon yellow, and maybe some blue.

Just to catch up here...I love the idea of an Earnhardt flag job. One of my ideas to put my own head on straight after this tragedy is a combo of Earnhardts Olympic, Goodwrench, Wrangler, Wheaties and Wheaties cars...maybe a pink C-pillar on one side and a Silver on the opposite in tribute

If you're pulling more than tape up when removing mask the paint hasn't fully dried. Easier to wait it out, but cutting the border like suggested is cool.

Now onto the can't findapaintschemeitus... Thuderstorm huh? Okay...The way my little mind operates, I hit the web and did a search on Lycos for "thunderstorm" and ended up at Nasa's Langley research center...
