paint questions

Does anyone use a paint that is NOT an RC specific paint for bodies? I don't have a hobby shop up here and it is a royal pain to keep ordering paint everytime I get a body. The paint has to be shipped ground and it takes forever to get it. I was just wondering if there are any alternatives.

If you get an airbrush, the Faskolor paints don't have to be shipped ground since they're not aerosols.

Can you use automotive paint?

Isnt that meant for steel, and not plastic? Im thinking that stuff is corrosive to plastic...not sure though.

I use automotive paints.... some are made for plastic work IE... mirrors, spoilers etc. My current car has been painted with it and has been involved in "a few minor mishaps" :D And the paint has cracked or flaked

I use Createx AutoAir (water based) paints with their catalyst and bonding agent. I have had good results. They might be easier to get hold of, try art supply or auto paint supply stores. Good luck! ;)
