I just got a new airbrush (aztec/testors A370), anyways, am I gonna have a problem shooting bodies without useing a compressor? All I can afford right now is the canned air. Which paints can I use, at that low of pressure, and not have problems.(acrylics prefered) And should I get different sized tips, or will the regular one suffice for a while? What do I need to do to clean it up afterwards? (Internal mix) Sorry for all the questions, but I don't want to ruin a new brush, since it's gotta last a while.  :) :o :D ;) :p

OK, it may become a problem. I dont exactly know what those little bottles spray at, but it will get pretty tough. I learned (kinda) that the thinner you mix the paint, the less air pressure you gotta spray them at.

I prefer to use water based paints, its a lot easier, and if you mess up, you can redo it. Its fuel proof and becomes part of the body. I have used Faskolor by Parma with great results, of coarse I use a compressor though. The lowest I have ever tried to spray at was 20psi, with great results, although it may start to clog up.

Dont bother getting a different sized tip unless you want to do other things, it should be good enough, but if not, a smaller size sprays finer detail (smaller stuff). I think I am usuing something like .035 or something, all i know is its got a 35 in it, and its working perfectly with my Iwata. After your done spraying colors, wash all the paint out of the bottle with a 10:1 ratio of water to Windex until it only sprays clear stuff, and you cant see any paint. Before use the next time, I spray pure water, as to get any left over windex out, let it dry (and help it with a paper towel), then paint. Ive gotten great results like this, hop I helped! James

Here's a little tip for u canned air users out there. Place the can in a tub of warm water so it is about half way submerged. This keeps the can from getting too cold and loosing air pressure. Otherwise u have to stop every minute or so to let the can warm up again.

The cans have about 50psi in them when new. I use them with faskolor paints and it works pretty well The faspearl paints spray the easiest, have to turn the paint flow down, but they all work good. Also, don't lay the can of air on it's side when using, liquid propellant goes everywhere and really hurts the eyes. Ask me how I know  LOL
