I am looking to get into airbrushing but I have a few questions: What is a good brand? Tower carries Paasch and Badger. Cost isn't a huge deal but I guess I would like to keep it under $100. I already have an aircompressor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I airbrush fish and such often...and I use a Paasch. It's extremely durable and the parts are easy to find.

You should be able to pick up a Paasche single-action fairly cheaply. I'd recommend a #1 or #3 needle and tip.

I use a Testors Double Action. For the RC work I do, it is excellent and much easier to clean than any of the others. I can spray a color, shoot the brush clean with water and move on to the next in less then a minute. The kit runs $99.00

I have to confess I don't have a lot of experience with different airbrushes, but the airbrush that's widely regarded as far and away the best, is made by Iwata (http://www.arttalk.com/iwata/new/neweclipses.htm). Their line leaned towards high-end in the past, but they've just introduced the Eclipse line, which sells for somewhere around 80 bucks. Check out Dixie Art (http://www.dixieart.com) for a good selection of airbrushes and supplies.
