could i get a nice airbrush and use on of those chemical sprayers for the compressor? i have a compressor, but its a big one, and it has like 250lb capacity. it goes up to like 400, but i think it has a shut off that is set for 250lbs. first id like to ask if this will work. i thought it would be too much pressure, but have never asked.

i was watchin a commercial for those blow pens, and i saw the foot pump they had, and i saw my dad spraying the garden, and i thought i could use something like one of these for airbrushing. thay all reminded me of my color blaster that i had a long time ago.

so can i buy a new sprayer for like $20 and just cut the end of and put on a airbrush thing? hell, i could probly put the paint in the sprayer and just use it like it is!!!!!

You can use a normal compressor like the one you already have. Most compressors come with a regulator where you can regulate the pressure coming out of it. You just set that regulator to around 30 psi (around what an airbrush uses) and go for it. If you compressor don't have a regulator, then I guess you will be blowing up your airbrush when you try it at 400 psi.

I'm not familiar with that blow pen that you were looking at so I wouldn't know if it will work. My only concern would be the consistancy of the pressure. You need constant pressure when airbrushing. If that pump thing works kind of like a bicycle pump, then I don't think it will work with an airbrush.
