Just wanted everybody to know Bill Zegers has been painting a lot of the bodies you see in RCCA. He does an outstanding job and offers his professional services for a fair price. He tells me a website is in the making, but check out the pages of RCCA and look for his logo.
You can contact him by email

Derek,
Thanks for the information. But I thought Bob did a lot of the painting too. Or does he only paint the bodies for the vehicles that he reviews?

We ran fresh out of Bob a little while ago...
Between the columns, reviews, the painting book and my own racers, I haven't done as much magazine fun-painting as I'd like to,. Most of Derek's review cars are done by Bill Zegers and you'll see the "Zegers" logo on bodies elsewhere. I'll vouch for Bill's quality too!
Anyway I'm still knee-deep in FasKolor some of my projects you have to come to CT to see.

Hey Bob, nice paint job as always. Could you maybe do one of your columns on the more difficult painting techniques for those of us who are more advanced in our painting skills? For instance how did you get that metal effect on there?

Bob, i saw that body in chat, but i got to hand it to you again, that is one good looking body, and. FYI everyone, the "Hastings Motorsports" IS painted on, not a decal, which is too amazing! Bob needs to lay off the faskolor, i can smell it on his breath, even all the way over here.... :p
BTW: Where is that body you were going to paint me bob?

I don't think it's shameless self promotion. Bob was mentioned and he popped in, that's all. Bill Zeger was praised by Derek, not himself. Besides Bob knows we all worship him (NOT)...lol

If you want to see my paintwork you can check out the cover of February 2001, March 2001, July 2001, Touring car 2001, Buyers' Guide 2001. And that's just a small percentage of my work that has appeared in RCCA over the past 5 years. But now that we have Bill, my airbrush will be getting a rest.

I've been trying to mix it up a little bit in terms of difficulty. This next issue will feature airbrushing illuminated effects...Neon, LED, backlit effects (and other stuff I can't think of right now because I broke my brain). I'll work in the exposed sheet metal next time around.

this is all cool and stuff, but wouldnt this classify as "shamless self promotion"?
