Thats nice but I don't know if its worth $140. I guess if you were an LHS that would be nice.

you could make something like that out of plywood, some sheet metal, an old gas tank and stock pipe and header off some kit.. put a prop on the motor and fire it up.. why waste $140 when you could do it for $1.40 lol..

Note that you'll have to buy some Serpent engine mounts, which aren't included with the set-up. They only cost about $10 bucks though.

I've talked to Serpent USA about the break-in bench,... you do hook up a prop

Yeah, why spend $140.00...? You might already got that engine stand already...
Check your tool box, if you are IMPULSE racer, you might get all the parts that you need already...

I am using the graphite chassis, so I got the OEM chassis sitting here and collecting dust...then you need to plastic radio plate cause I got the Graphite radio plate already...then gas tank..get a HPI one if you want something cheap, I got one little cracked one and now I can use that....well, then the "M" support, I can re-use the plastic one cause I am running the alloy/purple one now...
Finally, some cheap servo....and a tie-rod that connect the ENGINE...

The only parts that I might have to spend money to buy is the engine MOUNT and 4 screws and they are $20.00 and less...

Finally, make sure you mount the chassis with some clamps ($5.00 each) on the bench...now, your custom SERPENT engine break-in stand is ready for service and you can re-use all your old parts and only cost like $25.00 the most.

He probably used the search option and didn't even think about checking when it was posted.

I don't think this is much of an issue bringing back an old thread. I haven't seen one of these things around and makes me wonder if Serpent still makes these. What kind of a load does the flywheel mechanism put on?
