So how do you get the battery out?

The top chassis brace also serves to hold the battery down. Just remove that I believe.

OK if you have a PRO3 you will know that the brace over the motor and the front bulkhead brace are TALLER than the battery retainer.
Then look back up at the pix. Note that the graphite brace is ABOVE the kit battery retainer. I would guess that you might be able to get the batteries out with out disturbing the graphite brace.

Removing and installing the batt are the same if you have the HotBodies upper deck... and that's going between the main belts.

Ok, I see it now. I forgot all about that. It seems kind of a pain though. Sorry for the confusion. You can always count on DrDiff to clear things up i the electric department.
One of these days I'll get a Pro 3, but I have to get my Sport 2 running again first.
DrDiff, look in the HPI Electric TC forum for a thread titled "cannot get my car to run." I could really use some help, because I have no idea whats going on.
