Looks like an HPI NRS4MT body on an AE T3 chassis. Seems like MRC is doing what Duratrax did with the new Evader - cloning other companies' trucks.

give them some credit, they have originaly shock towers and battery straps and such. duratrax made an exact duplicate and stamped their name on it

I have a MRC and lets just say that thier parts support is lacking. I tried ordering parts from my LHS, a LHS in San Antonio, Hobby Town USA, Tower, and MRC. No luck what so ever. I really don't see how anyone can use the phrase race inspired or upgrade potential when referring to a MRC vehicle. They need to make ammends with Tamiya and bring the team back together again.
Just my thouhts,
Jerry
P.S. I wonder if the rear bearing carriers, arms and front steering blocks will work with my MT-10S?

I like the way the truck looks, but like someone said above, getting stuff from MRC is next to impossible. None of the hobby shops around here carry their stuff anymore because getting parts is next to impossible. I had even had a shop that didn't carry MRC stuff try and get a kit for me...MRC never got back to him. What good is it if you can't get parts?

The vehicles themselves are fine. They would make good Entry Level cars if they only the company would make parts available. Unlike other major manufactures that keep parts available for even some of the discontinued MRC has less then favorable parts availability. Not to mention the total lack of parts in most local hobby shops. As stated above I have a MRC truck and it is a lot of fun to run around the yard. But I am scared to ruff it up. If I break something it might be a very long time before it can be fixed. :( Currently the rear bearing carriers are wearing out and I can't find any replacements. The next time I am in a town/city that has a real hobby shop I will have to try to see if Associated, Kyosho, or some other manufacture has a suitable substitute.

Its nice to see MRC still at it. I haven't had trouble getting parts for my Ironman, which lives up to its name, by the way. Its the toughest truck I ever had. Ironman runs way faster and better than my Stampede with the same electrics. Its lighter, lower, and much faster with the same motor/esc and appropriate gearing. Jumps sweet, too. I think thie new MRC truck will do well. Can't wait for an RCCA Track Test.

Mattski,
Where are you getting your parts. I have only seen them at Tower and the last time I checked they were marked discontinued. There were a couple MRC trucks on the Tower site but they have almost disappeared. I just wish that they would team back up with Tamiya so that maybe LHSs would be more willing to carry parts on the shelves.
I do have to agree with you on the toughness of the MRC trucks. Mine performs really well and is made of quality parts. But I must be having just terrible luck with the customer support as I called MRC directly and they had none of the parts I needed at the time. And the lady that answered the phone couldn't tell me if the parts for my truck were compatible with another of their trucks or buggies. And their website was just about useless when it came to things concerning their R/C vehicles. Unlike Traxxas and Associated which seem to staff knowledgable R/C customer service reps. But to be fair to them it would be a safe bet that if I had a question about the Controller for my HO scale train set she probably could have answered it without even thinking twice. They do make some of the BEST train controllers on the market today. :D In short I do like their products, R/C and Train related. I just wish they would have been more helpful in the parts department for my MT-10S.

RcRacer88,
I too think the company is just fine. I thought I made that clear above. They just need to dedicate more resources to the R/C products that they produce and have produced. Now they may be doing just that with the introduction to the new Academy RT Sport Truck. Only time will tell, for most of us anyway.

This truck is orginally made by company called Academy.
you can visit http://www.academy.co.kr for informations on this truck.
Also MRC's STR-4 4WD touring car is also made by Academy.
I think MRC distribute Academy products in the us.

I really like the looks of that truck, but must agree about the lack of parts availability. I had an MT-10S 4 years ago that I loved. It was a good handling truck and durable. Unfortunately, I stripped a spur gear and got so fed up with looking for parts around the area that I sold it. If I could find someone around here who stocked MRC parts, I might get this new truck to replace my aging RC10T. Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

Its been since September since SteveP posted this one. Where are they? Anybody know? MRC's site doesn't help answer the question. Who is selling them?

I have to agree with Usagi, although I can't say "products". I've only had the Q-Tee coupe, and it was junk. (IMO) The only way MRC could be good entry level trucks is if they were half the price of other trucks. But they are not. You can get a better truck with better parts support from numerous other companies.

They have the worst customer service I have ever seen.Do not buy a super brain 959 charger.

It does seem that MRC has dropped alittle farther down the production scale these last few years.

My first truck was a MRC thunder king (the electric one whta came out in the early 90's) after reading this post i feel kinda dated because this truck is awsome! I havent tried getting any parts for it because im yet to break something that i did not have a quick fix for (a new body would be nice). One of these days im going to pull in off the shelf and sink a couple hundred in it and make some custom stuff and make this beast into an even better beast.
