I have a '68 El Camino body that doesn't have decals for the grill, etc.

Any ideas on how to get the "cross-hatch" grill painted?

I was thinking of using a piece of screen and painting black, then removing the screen and painting the back silver so it looks something like a grill. But I can't figure out how to keep the black from running past the screening.

Any other ideas?

It must be a Bolink body. You might try some really thin pinstriping masking. I usually just hand paint them myself.

How bout cutting a hole the size of the grill? i mold my screens to look like a grill... i then paint it... then apply silicone to the back and place in firmly but gently in the front of the body... actually on the inside of the body... i done this to my celica body and it looks great:cool:

I ended up handpainting it and it doesn't look too bad. I probably won't buy another Bolink if they're all like this.

The cutout idea sounds great, though! I might re-do it like that.

Thanks guys!
