How big does the wire need to be to get the most performance (least resistance)?

Is 12gauge wire the best or can I get away with smaller stuff.

Just in case it's not clear, I am talking about the wire that goes from the ESC to the motor (Reedy MVP or DS spec motor)

12 gauge will give you the least resistance and therefor the best performance.

12 gauge will be your best choice, but its quite fat and sometimes annoying to work with....:D
