Hi everyone,
Has anyone had any experience, good experience, with Pactra's Trim Tape?
I bought a few rolls off eBay, and they really don't stick that well. Lot's of adhesive gets all over the place, and they won't stay put.
Did I just get some old tired tape? Or is this stuff not what they say it is?
I was trying to outline the scallops on this truck -

you can see that the tape is still there in the pix, however, it crept way up off the round corners of the scallop, and looked lousy - I ripped it off.
I was thinking of trying regular (real) car pinstripe tape - think that would work?

Hey raymo! I purchased some pinstriping tape from a Hobby shop that was going out of business. It seemed to work fairly well. It was made for airplanes. I'll see if I can find the brand name. I'm not sure how well it holds up under use though . I use it on my "display" bodies. If you look on the rear wing, you can see where I used black pin striping tape to separate the orange from the white.

raymo,

I've used it maybe 4 or 5 times, always thinking I did something wrong but it's never worked well for me. now I just hand cut my pinstriping while im painting. Its not, hard, just tedious.

How does the tape work? Does it go on the inside or the outside?

I use it on the inside if the body. After painting it does not move any more.

Hi Ive used the Kyosho pin stripe tape designed for helis and planes. I used it as a masking tape and it worked fine.
