any name brand such as 3M/Scotch will give you the best results when you're using tape... liquid mask is also a good altenative to tape.

as long as its a good fit and you have some ventilation they should serve there purpose. If your going to paint bodys for a living then i'd say get a good one

I have just used my t-shirt at times... pulling it up over my nose, i know it isnt the best...but better than nothing. I would assume the little dust masks from the Home Depot would be pretty good...

well this is a dust and paint mask, so it's pretty much made for it.

The dust masks are good and certainly better than nothing. I always paint in a well ventilated area. Something else you might try is any kind of charcoal filtered mask. Charcoal filters out just about anything. If you fart, you won't smell it. Charcoal is what is used in chemical warfare masks that the military uses. Should work for paint I would think. Matt

I made my own hood to suck up the excess fumes and paint. Basically I just got a large box fan, some old used furnace filters, and some large cardboard boxes to construct a hood that works well. Made a paint "booth" from the boxes tapered in the back to the box fan that has old furnace filters in front and some old towels in back of it. It catches all the excess paint and contains all the fumes.

Go to a paint store, most of them have some masks there.

Guess what kids? I've only been airbrushing for a year. This summer I had a chest xray and Dr could see a line of paint in my lungs. Guess what? It's never coming out. My dad own a body shop for 30 years and smacked me in the head when he heard I was painting with out a mask. Even this hobby paint never comes out, your body never processes it and it doesn't break down. As over protective as it seems, wear a mask that covers your face without gaps or holes the way the cheap masks do. I use some surgery masks that crimp at the nose and go back to my ears.
