Are they using dual EVX's wih that chasis or something? Cause im sure them batteries will blow up your esc!

They are probably in parallel, imagine, waiting 4 hours the charge like the Tyco cars, then running like 20 min like the tyco cars. Heheh, that mush be fun running 20 min on an Emaxx.

If theyt would be in parrallel it would still blow the esc! the esc is made to handle two batteries in a series, therefor, no more than 4 amps, two 3000 batteries rated at 7.2 volts would produce 14.4 volts, 3 amps when put in a series!

Oh and when you take four batteries, making a two sets of two in parrallel, and hooking up those sets of two in a series, with 3000mah batteries, you would produce 14.4 volts 6 amps, therefore blowing the esc!

Relax maybe there using whatever electronics it takes to do it ,you take it so personal duh! like maybe just 8 cells apiece ? why it's got to be four full sticks G string? lol...........:p

I think the pic is there to show the possibilities. That is is possible to run 4 packs, and you can still run 2 and mount them low to race or bash and mount them high.

OK, if you want to order that bad boy chassis, there are twp options I am aware of.

Option 1: Order it from Hobby Etc in New Hampshire, (EMX1016)$180 + s/h

Option 2: Order it from Hanger 747 in Hong Kong, $98 delivered.

Option1: http://www.hobbyetc.com/cgi-bin/catalog2.cgi?car_id=82

Option 2: mailto:rcpartshkg@*******.com

You can also run 4 packs at 14.4 volts, just put each side in parallel, That'll increase your run time.

Remember, they designed the VX12 and the EVX to run at 14.4 volts. There was a whole explanation in one of the mags about how they're getting good power out of less current than a 7.2volt setup.

I've also heard from a reliable source (that all of you have heard of) that the VX12 ran reliably on Cobalt Drag motors....how's that for current?

Most equipment will be rated to perform lower than it's maximum capable load handling, just for the sake of longevity.

Would you guys rather have a manufacturer say you can run on 4-10 cells and back it with a warranty or tell you to strap 24 cells to it and you're on your own?

Look at the number of cells used in Cliff Lett's speed run cars, especially that TC3. Nothing special about the ESC.

Remember, Cliff blew armatures, not ESC's....

Back to that chassis....Dual brushless, 12 cells per motor........

Yeah, I thought about the 12 cells per motor, and get this: the way the batteries are secured, you can put a 7 cell (or build an 8 cell hump) and have 13 or 14 batteries per motor! :D :D :D

Jason,
I am sorry and withdraw my coment about blowing the esc, i was not realizing the potential of the esc, because now i see that is the vx12, i have the evx, and yet it may be true that it will even outperform the vx12, I appologize about making that statement about the batteries, but does that mean Floyd must insult me? NO, but i am pas that!:)

Floyd,
I appologize for going psyco o you, but really you are acting like a kid, well maybe a kid at heart! Well anywyas lets get past this little "incidents" and i would like to say Peace Brotha!!!!!!!:) :D ;)
