I missed the rc world and want to get back in but this time i wanna try a real monster truck. I've owened a usa1 in the past and it was junk!! What's a strong reliable kit?

I love the way txt looks but does it perform like the max or monster pirate? "I have an old inferno with an O.S. .21 rx-b engine if any of ya still remember" which can be put on the monster pirate but, car action said it cant handle like a max? I was thinking 2-speed pirate but .21 engine is a hassle to tune and i know it'll end up on the shelf like the inferno.

Is the t-max simple to run with the electric start? How does it compare speed wise with the e-max? Car action tested the e-max with monster maxx "wild" motor and achieve 25.4 mph 3mph faster than stock. I know if geared properly it'll be faster. Perhaps as fast as the 29 mph maxx?

The RTR pirate didnt handle because the steering servo included with it isnt strong enough.

u can also get a MP right now for 260 w/ engine. not a bad deal at all!. if u put it a nice strong servo is will handle real well because its based off a buggy. whoever told you 21's were hard to tune were dead wrong. its got the same carb set up as a 12 or 15. 2 or 3 needles. just tune it like u would any other engine. If u r concerned about tuning. the tmaxx is a bad choice because of the trx engines carb. it does not hold a tune well. anybody who tells you different either 1) is lying or 2) lucky

My understanding is that since it was based on a buggy the suspention sucks, which corresponds to handling. YOu have a good point about a killer servo turning thoses 6" wheels! That'll raise the price.

but u r forgetting that buggy suspension is some of the best, next to stadium trucks. very raceworthy and very smooth. stock shocks come with very tiny piston holes and some mystery weight shock oil. drilling an extra piston hole and puttin in some good 50-60wt shockoil will do wonders. u reallly have to try it to beleive it.

The T- Maxx is a terrible tuner but the E- Maxx is a omni tuner it's always ready and if you want speed well take it from me those Monsters heat up and burn real fast (i am ruff on stuff) but call Novak 949-833-8873 getpart # 5325 universal wiring harness and connect two Super Roosters , now you have unlimited motor turns ,go from 9 min. runs to 13 min. and those Titans will barely warm up, I have this set up and I'm running two 9 cell 3000NIMH with no problems , did you say 25mph? well my E- Maxx out runs the heck out of my T-Maxx (piped only)for about 5 min. till it drops but I know this thing does over 30 mph!

Does the harness group any two of the same speed controllers together? How does it compares to the evx that came with it? Don't know why novak doesnt distrubutes the evx to the public? What's the specs on the evx?

Well, actually the double ROOSTER conversion kit is discontinued. Yes, it is not Super Roosters, but Roosters. Your Titans connected to the Roosters should be slower, considering they're recieving half the voltage they're made to recieve.

If you want a truck that your willing to hop up(motors, and esc) get the TXT-1. If you want a truck thats awesome straight out of the box, get the E-Maxx.

For gas, I would get the T-Maxx. The MP can't handle jumps, climbing, and handling at all in its stock form. While the T-Maxx does all of this better, stock. The MP is only slightly faster than the T-Maxx(the MP goes 32 mph stock, while the T-Maxx goes 30 mph) Also, the T-Maxx has Much Better aftermarket support than the MP. You can build a T-Maxx completely out of aftermarket parts.

Almost right, pull out your Fluke(voltage meter) and check out the math baby, ther is no 14.4 at each motor.
Anyhow thats why I run 9 cells and flying through the land!
They did discontinue the Rooster Combo package # NOV1855 for the(regular Rooster reversible) for the E-Maxx, but to answer
our host the Y-harness is from Novak and you would have to ask them for a compatibility list.
My Super Roosters Maxx out at 10 cells so 10 it is! oh and Dribblerman do pull out the meter and smell my titans I will eventually drop in a pair of Race Prep 13 turns made just for my E-Maxx with two 8 cells(unlimited turns with the Super ) , they are releasing the EVX soon according to thr Traxxas web site for info go to www.teamnovak.com. I'm out late..............

:p
