Hey,
In my last post i had though about getting a jugg or TXT..Well i went and did some other questions at other boards and i have found out that the clod's axle tubes break easy when jumping and the jugg's suppension makes it bounce out of control. This has me worried because I'm like always in the air. So i was re-thinking what truck I should get. Would the Traxxas stampede be a better choice for big jumps and backyard driving?
Thanks for your opinions

absolutly!!! the best choice for back yard bashing. i have one, havent broken a part yet, and i have the nitro version, which goes a lot faster than the electric one!
you wont be disapointed

It wont take you long to find out the E-Maxx is second to none, Nitro or Electric as long as you dont have one of those yards (like really big) , the E-Maxx is the baddest backyard basher so far period. :p

As an experienced Traxxas truck owner/customizer/racer, I'll tell ya the E-Maxx is a lot more versatile than the Stampede in the sense of what it can climb over and how much traction it can hold, but it breaks easily in stock form. Almost everybody finds this out the hard way. I broke both shock towers in my first 6 minutes of driving my first 'E, and I've broken many bulkheads (a serious pain to replace) and body posts, plus a couple of a-arms. I've since severely modified both of my E-Maxxes and now the one I use all of the time is very dependable.
On the other hand, my *relatively* stock Stampede has never broken a part, and I mean that quite literally! (My Rustler, the Stampede's cousin, has broken precisely two parts in its 2-year racing life.) It's hard to get a truck that's as durable as the Stampede, in my opinion. Be warned, though -- if you were really psyched about the Jugg and TXT-1, you'll be disappointed with the Stampede's suspension travel and tire size. Plus, a two wheel drive vehicle like the Stampede will never have the tough edge of a 4x4 like the TXT-1 or E-Maxx.
If you're not planning on doing any big jumps, the E-Maxx will make you extremely happy! The stock E-Maxx is a very poor jumper because of its shock oil & spring setup, its extreme weight (over 10 pounds!) and the fact that it is heavier in the front than the rear, not to mention the fact that it likes to break inexpensive, but crucial parts. If you want to go jump-happy, you will LOVE the Stampede! It has to be the ultimate jumper!! Later on, put in a modified motor and you will probably cry from joy over the speed and jumping characteristics of the thing.
Tough decision, for sure :)

I've rolled it, crashed it head long into crubs and the only part I ever broke was the stock servo. So the E-Pede makes a good strong basher.
The E-Maxx has the advantage of 4WD so your less likely to get stuck (which I have done a number of times with the Pede).
Depends on your backyard, for my backyard I had to get a MP cause the pede just didn't have the Ump to push through the tall grass in areas. :)
