I know a wider wheelbase gives more stability, but is there any disavantage to using the offset wheels by RPM, Proline and others?

The only issue I know of is a bit more stain on you steering servo.

Pivot balls break more easy because it strains them when it hits.

On some stadium trucks the offset is already set to the legal max, any more would be illegal for race purposes........... but it strains your steering linkages and servos...
