I just thought up a good scheme for my Ford excrusion body. White from the front to the first window, then orange, with XXXmain predator paint masks in a blue color along the side. Only problem is: Blue is the darkest color, yet the one that is masked off, what to do?

you can do it that way, just be certain to do lots of coats of white on the white part (like 4) , then do two to three coats of the orange, and then backthat with white or silver, then remove the mask and do the blue, you should not have any problem with the blue "leaking" through, except if you do not mask it correctly.

Just back the colors with silver before spraying any color darker. I do that all the time, and it works fine.
For this body, I painted the flames first, then backed them with silver, and sprayed the charcoal. Worked out fine.

Yep. I agree with the first two posts. You might want to spray the white on first, back it with silver, then spray on the orange, and back it with silver, then spray on the blue. However, if you're using an airbrush to fade from white to orange, you should paint on the orange before you paint on any silver. After you paint on the blue, back it with silver as well. It will make it stand out better. I've done this numerous times and it works out fine. Almost all of my bodies are silver on the inside. I back everything with silver just about. Matt
