Hi, just wondering if anybody has come up with a method of straightening out a piece of lexan (usually a wing) that gets bent in a tumble.
While racing my XXX-T a few weekends ago, it flipped over a big jump, and at the end of the race I noticed that the "wing" or spoiler at the back had copped the worst of it and was basically folded down with a large crease diagonally across it. And it's virtually impossible to straighten it out. I could easily make another one (it's flat, just a matter of cutting out a new piece), but finding a hobby store that sells plain sheet lexan has been difficult, in fact, I've had no luck so far.....
And I've also had the old trick of having my buggy go through a roll or tumble and have the ears on the wing fold down, and they're almost impossible to straighten out....
Any ideas? I'm assuming some sort of heat application, like ironing it, or a (very hot) hot air blower of some sort?
