It just occured to me that I am spending every night monitoring the charging/discharging of packs. Transmitter packs, receiver packs, starter box cells, glowignitor batteries, NiCads for electric cars, MiMh for electric cars. Nicads for my electric airplanes. Do you ever feel that your are a victim under your chargers and batteries or is it just me? Whatever I am occupied with, whenever that beep-beep sounds, I have to interupt and go put on another cell. I guess There is nothing I can do about this (as long as I want to play), I just want to know if I am alone with this or not.

Wow, every night? I am extremely lucky if I get to play once a week. If it really is occupying a lot of your time, you'll probably have to make a few compromises. Like only running one type of car on a given day (i.e. electric of nitro). That way, you'll either be charging battery packs or glow igniters and receiver packs.
And if your just playing around (not racing), you can get away with charging a few days before you plan on using the battery. That can save you a lot of time, and the voltage/capacity loss from those two days probably won't be noticeable.

Yeah, I only race on the weekends, so the rest of the week I do other things besides charge batteries, & to be honest, I've never had a problem with doing it. It's just a part of R/C that we all must deal with.....:)

I like charging my batts, I have em all numbered and I right down the Mah rating off my charger each time I charge the batts, that way I can see changes in the batts as they go, tells me when a batt needs cycling and all that good stuff.

Guys,
You are right. I should shut up and enjoy myself. I do race only once a week, but I run 3 different classes with different radios. Nitro season is over here in Minnesota, so no more starter boxes etc. Then there is my son with his stampede and rally RS4...
When I started the thread I was just getting fed up with it. I am back on track now. Thanks for your input though.

If you run three classes w/3 different radios, why don't you sell all those radios and buy one that does at least 3 profiles EX. JR XR3 $130. If your radios are magnum sports there probably worth $30 a piece. More or less depending on radio. Add a couple bucks and you have one FM LCD radio w/built in charger and alot less stuff to prep and load.
Matt :)
