Ok, I got a Streak esc in a trade, I wire it up, and it is stuck in full throttle. Best I can tell it that it is fried. I don't think it is worth sending it off to get repaired (especially since they don't give you an up front price) I would like to try to fix it myself. What should I look for when I crack it open? I have nothing to lose, it already doesn't work. I figured some of you electronic geniuses would be able to help.

Lets face it, you go a crappy ESC mmmmm k? If i were you i would buy a good high quality esc from Novak or LRP. But if you want to tinker with it, be my guest. Heck i would and i would probbably mess it up but it sure would be fun! :D

my other escs are novak and lrp. I want to fix this one if I can and give it to a friend who just got started.

Kinda hard to do when it is running full throttle from the moment you hook the battery to it. Tried it, no reaction.

why dont you try unhooking the motor leads when you program it. the streak is an excellent efficient esc. i have one in my bandit and rustler. i run them in spec class and they run top 3 every race. i do like novak as well but for a cheap esc they work great

I think it is screwed... You should hook it up to a motor well beyond its limits, see what happens. :D
