How would I go about breaking in a BRAND new reedy sonic2 10x2 mod? I know I should check for parts ft and make sure that everything is in order... but Should I put the shaft on the end of my dremel and run it at a specific speed for a few minutes? Is that all there is to it? Any help is good...
Thanx

You shouldn't even need to do that, the only reason we do it with stocks is to break in the bushings, but bearings do not need breaking in. All I might suggest would be to run the motor on a 4 cell pack to help seat the brushes(& that isn't really a neccessity, it just helps the motor run its best the first time you put it in the car).....:)

I've seen some rough bearings too. It doesn't hurt to remove the springs and brushes run for a few minutes to make sure it turns smoothly (not every motor is checked) then reinstall everything and breakin the brushes. I do this for transmissions, oval diffs, anything where there may be friction, I do a 3-5 minute breakin to be sure everything moves freely.
